Chris Lafferty moved to North Carolina in 1998 with nothing more than racing goals and dreams in tow. With a little cash in one pocket and a pistol in the other, Chris was jobless, homeless and slept in his moving truck which contained all of his possessions.
As the fire burned inside, Chris found himself pushing to become one of NASCAR's best engine builders, going on to compete in the prestigious Clevite Engine Builders Challenge twice; scoring a first runner-up and semi-finalist finish. As his expertise and appeal grew, Chris became a popular figure writing for the biggest magazines in the sport including Circle Track Magazine, Stock Car Magazine, and Speedway Illustrated. Forming Lafferty Motorsports in 2003, Chris started to set his sights on becoming a NASCAR driver. 2011 marked the third year that Chris has competed in one of the top ranks of NASCAR, the Camping World Truck Series. Chris has become the "under-dog" in NASCAR and is the symbol of a guy just "chasing the dream."
With an unwavering desire to accomplish many goals, Chris takes on each new task without fear or regret. Chris has been pursuing TV production since 2008, developing several television shows including "Chris Lafferty's Motorsports TV". Chris is very involved in the production side of the show and when not racing will be found preparing the next episode!
